It's Been Awhile.......

I apologize for not posting sooner, but it's been a crazy time at my house. As you may have noticed, I've changed the name of my blog. Turns out I was violating Disney copyright law. Yikes!

Since Disney is a huge corporation and I'm just, well, me, I decided to change it rather than risk getting a letter from a Disney lawyer.

I will do my best to post more in the coming days. At least once per week so as to not overwhelm you all with posts.

Until then......

See y'all real soon,

Wyndie

Let's Try Something New.....

Well, I've decided that my trip posts were taking too long to write and probably way too long to read. I'm going to go in a different direction and just give you my Cliff Notes version of our trip.

Since I stopped with our park hopper day, I'll try to briefly sum up the rest of our trip.  The following day was our Hollywood Studios day.  I am going to do something that probably breaks some travel agent code, but I DO NOT like Hollywood Studios. I found it boring and weird. I probably would have liked it better if I had ridden any rides other than a handful, but I could easily skip it on my next trip.

Trip Report Part 3

We decided to have our first park hopper day on Sunday.  We began our day at the Magic Kingdom.  We arrived early and got the see the opening ceremony.  I admit it, I got teary when the characters arrived on the train. I was so excited to be there with my kids.  My hubby got teary when we first saw Cinderella's castle, because the little one got so excited. She enjoyed high fiving all of the employees on Main Street.  The boy didn't really have much to say. Guess he was too cool to admit that he was happy to be there.

Trip Report Part 2

After very little sleep, we woke up early to catch the bus to Animal Kingdom for our 8:00 AM pre-rope drop breakfast at Tusker House. We arrived in plenty of time and got a chance to hang out at the entrance for a bit.  I got a few shots of the AK Christmas tree which was just beautiful.

I have to admit that while I am not a morning person, being one of the first people to be let in AK was amazing. We had to hurry through, but we still got to enjoy it briefly with no crowd, which was lovely.

Almost empty park

We made it to Tusker House and had our picture taken with Donald Duck. Donald was great....as usual. He kissed my hand, kissing sound included. He hugged the girl. He was just great. I really enjoyed it, but would have loved it if he actually circulated through the restaurant like the others. Guess you can't have everything.
